Complexgeometries: Geometry in Motion

complexgeometries was created in 2006 by designer Clayton Evans, who was raised in northern Canada and trained in fine arts at the Alberta College of Art and Design. His latest collection "self" is a beautiful mixture of semitransparent foiled chiffon, mohair, felted merino wool knits and silk in a softened palette of "smoky grays, fleshy pinks and dusty wines" - all of which provide a catalyst to transform the clothing and the wearer into a singular form. The flat-soled platformed boots are a collaboration with LDTuttle and the gorgeous semi-precious stone/oxidized silver jewelry from Harakiri completes an undeniably 1970's space-age disco aesthetic, if Stanley Kubrick decided to do the set design in an intergalactic strip club.
