Wood Thumb is a company based out of San Francisco made up of a duo of brothers - their specialty? Ties made from reclaimed wood. We've seen tables, bookshelves, chairs and jewelry made of wood, but ties? This creative idea came alive because David Steinrueck and his brother Christopher found some redwood that used to hold up a Northern California barn. They decided to turn something old into something new. The outcome is a wooden tie that is light weight, flexible and is held together by an elastic cord that loops around the shirt collar. These ties are not only fashion-forward, but are a steal at only $34!
